The group Trip At 7, better known by its shorter name 357, represents a specific phenomenon on the Serbian rock scene. Although they may not be a mainstream band, their sound and approach to music provides a unique experience that deserves the attention of the general public. On the occasion of his 30th birthday, he will hold a big celebratory concert in the Youth Center of Belgrade. A limited amount of tickets at a promotional price of RSD 1,500 can be purchased at the DOB Box Office, through the eFinity network and online. The regular advance ticket price will be RSD 1,800.
They were founded in 1995 in Zemun under the name High Fay Jungle, and they had their first performance under the name 357 in 1996 at the Magnum club. Frontman, vocalist, composer and lyricist Nikola Hadži Nikolić is both the founder and the only permanent member, and over 100 musicians have passed through the band since its inception. The backbone of the line-up in the last decade consists of Dragan Arsić and Goran Šobotović on guitars. Guest-host Luka Jelisavčić is on drums, and Radovan Rosić and Vlada Nikolić also played. The bass is played by young Igor Sibirski, and it was also in the hands of Vlad Stanojević, Goran Radovanović, Dražen Pavkov and Marko Glavan. Listing the brass section would be like listing a company, which was held by ensign Potkonjak for twenty years, and then taken over by Danijela Veselinović.
Band 357 offers the audience something more than the usual rock sound. The composition moves in the domain of alternative rock, often incorporating elements of psychedelia, funk and soul. Their music is a fusion of different genres, which makes them difficult to classify. What sets them apart is their ability to create complex arrangements that sound both coherent and experimental at the same time. The rhythm section is often very prominent, with a groove that calls for movement, while the guitar parts vary from sharp and distorted riffs to ethereal and melodic passages. Vocals are usually expressive, with a range that ranges from quiet, introspective sections to energetic outbursts.
On the ten albums they signed, 357 presented themselves as an original band that successfully inserts spiritual themes into the usual rock patterns, in which current problems of today are considered. In the meantime, 357 have become an institution unto themselves. A kind of rock school, which 2025. celebrates its first 30 years of work. The concert in Belgrade's Youth Center will be an opportunity for the group 357 to celebrate this important anniversary together with its audience, with well-known songs and the unique energy for which their live performances are known.
