JU NESBE IS THE GUEST OF THE FIRST BELGRADE THRILLERFEST

One of the world's most famous thriller writers, the Norwegian Ju Nesbe, will be a guest of the first Belgrade Thrillerfest, which will be held in the Dom omladine from May 16 to 18, 2025.

On this occasion, Nesbe will promote his new novel "Minnesota", which will be published by Laguna, and socializing with the audience and signing the novel is planned for Saturday, May 17 at 8 p.m. in the Great Hall of Dom omladine.

Thrillerfest is a multimedia festival dedicated to the thriller and crime genre and is the first such event in the region.

During all three days of the festival, a mini-fair of thrillers will be organized in Dom omladine, where the biggest local publishers will participate, and visitors can expect special discounts, promotion of new releases and socializing with local and foreign to the authors.

In addition to Nesbe, the main stars of the festival will be Swedish writers Arne Dahl and Malin Sten, who will also promote and sign their novels and socialize with the audience, and the "Swedish Thriller Evening" will also be organized.

In addition to the presentation of books, films from the latest European production will be shown at Thrillerfest. The award-winning Swedish psychological thriller "Sons" will open the festival on Friday, May 16 at 8 p.m., and viewers will also be able to watch the French film "The Syndicalist" with Isabelle Huppert in the lead role and the exciting Spanish thriller "The Fall of the King".

Also, during the entire duration of the festival, visitors will be able to enjoy thriller video games and comics, panel discussions, and they will be able to see a picture exhibition called "Between the Lines", dedicated to Swedish noir literature.

Finally, on the last day of the festival, the regional awards for "Best Thriller Novel" and "Best Screenplay for a TV Series" will be awarded. The awards are given by the Association of Thriller Writers "UpiT", which brings together over 40 writers and screenwriters from all countries of the former Yugoslavia.
